another option in the long & winding road of maginhawa
they have variants in their unli either steaks, or white meat & less pricey chicken w/c also includes pasta pizza iced tea. what's great about this place is their ambiance. no need to stand & get food, we just need to tell garcon what we want, whether it be their big wings, their filling pasta, or their pizza in generous servings, unlike some w/c easily runs out, i know they can be cheesy but so what? it's pizza

for me, if I'm not in the mood for shrimps of unli, steakfix is the best option to date

we normally see unli wings w/c is typical, but to see unli shrimp, now that's unique
yes, eatin shrimps is so light, like air to me, i easily burn whatever shrimp i unwrap, who gets full eatin shrimp?
so while waiting for shrimp to cook since peeps eat here due to eat it, we can fill ourselves w/ their wings, pasta, pizza - w/c i start when I'm abt. to leave, w/c doesn't last longer too, even faster than the shrimps
yes, it's AL fresco - but it's worth it

contrary to its sibling vikings, i highly favor them over the other

as posted before, yes vikings offers a few food not found in 4 seasons, yet its OK, no biggie. service is better, food served isn't frozen [salmon sashimi], & their bday month promo & cake is better too

quite rare i watch a movie that never bored me from start to finish, maybe due to reading subtitles

though if you're really into history, they may intentionally deleted the 2 bombs dropped on japan which for me is real reason they lost

whats the fuss abt. eating here?
yes they serve food u wont see in other restos like shrimp cocktail, caviar, etc.

yet over-all i wont return here if given a choice
their baked oysters are not generously served & u have to line up for it, unlike their sibling 4 seasons were u just order  & they'll serve it in your table
same thing with tempura, compared to dad's where it's given abundantly
also with salmon & tuna sashimi were they serve it a bit frozen
not very enticing comparing it with other buffets I've been to

how can we eat like a viking if the food u wanna eat are rationed?

its the biggest painting we have & won medals when he competed with it
often misspelled, it's a Latin word where gladiators are held, stripped of whatever they have as they die & bleed

a small place in marikina, truly depicts its tag line, a taste of home. My friend Geri invited me to dine with him one Sunday night before going home & it was worth it. i don't know if parking would be easy if it was jam packed coz it was only street parking, yet we're blessed we had a spot almost in front of it. the guard was kind in providing us an umbrella since it was drizzling,yet i need to consider that he's a regular customer. upon entering, u can guess it seemed like a house/office turned into a resto. we ordered sinigang na salmon & chicken adobo & they're both good, they even offered soup. payment was either pay as u order or they'll bill u after eating which was interesting. even saw some newspaper which i used browse daily, which gave me an impression it's a place where u can relax & think amidst the hustle & bustle within the metro. prices are affordable & was every cent we spent

over-all, i would recommend returning either alone to escape the noise, or bringing family & friends & enjoy their humble ambiance with good food

siam yum / pad thai milk tea

located along maginhawa, a street I've been to often lately, is simple yet quiet. we were able to enjoy their 2nd floor area til others show up. I'm not a fan of milk tea, but choosing the lesser evil like coffee, it'll work.
since it has tea, a diuretic, don't wonder often urinating coz it removes water from our bodies making us dehydrated actually, yet good thing it has milk, good way to be filled & protein load

if your into chicken like me, this is a must try. its found along maginhawa & if you'll try their unli wings, its worth it. its also inclusive of ice tea yet if you're like me, you wont focus much on drinking during & after, but before eating-so you wont dilute what we ate.

my friend tried the sriracha & if you're into hot stuff, maybe you'll get what you're looking for. my 1st try was with the honey garlic, indeed it was their best seller - it's the only flavor i repeatedly indulged in. then i ordered the cheesy chicken & salt & pepper 1, quite disappointing - looked like they just placed cheez whiz on top of it & sprinkled pepper on the other. then i asked for Parmesan & barbecue, yet like my 1st disappointment same thing occurred, Parmesan was scarce unlike another resto I'll blog soon. sad to say, they don't have ranch, yet knowing my disappointments with their 4 flavors, it's maybe bound to happen.

over-all, for someone with a big appetite yet fast metabolism like me who wants to protein load, & instead of eating in a fancy resto yet gets filled more without compromising the taste, its a good deal for me

my friend ordered the ribs while i tried the unli-bacon
being a health buff & trying to be a steward, i wont recommend what we had

i tried the ribs & if you want value for your cash, id suggest kenny Roger's ribs are still better
since i was trying to gain weight, i tried to consume all the bacon i can
i started with their crispy bacon, yes it was crisp but you cant get the jolly chicken type wherein after your teeth bites into it, you wont have a hard time chewing it
i tried another but to no avail, it was still like chewing bubble gum
either the meat was old, or bad cooking
i tried their non crispy version, yes it was soft, easier to chew, but since i don't advocate keto [not that I'm against it] i felt weird consuming all that fat
like i already had a few plates of it yet I'm still hungry
i felt eerie knowing what fat does to our body specially to our skin & mind so i stopped
i tried the fillet & like their waffle, both was bland
i was only 140 lbs before we ate there & gained 6lbs. in an instant
for me:
if you want to gain weight fast, fat etc. is for you
if you want value for your money, try other restos / menu instead

this is a company I'm blessed to have known how they humbly started. It was just a small rented room before, now expanding to maybe occupying the whole building, despite the owner owning other buildings. their staff even grew as I'm sure they're about to expand internationally. its a company you wont feel like working coz i personally know most of them specially those at the top. it's also the company id apply to if i wasn't blessed with my work now.

looking globally, investors, etc. in the US have their vacations that's why there isn't much volume compared to other months
the Chinese, which comprises most investors, not only globally but locally too, aren't keen on spending by this time
i once told a Chinese friend, I'm blessed this ghost month happens yearly coz at least once a year, traders like me can liquidate before it starts, giving us more buying power when prices lower. he even feels I'm more Chinese than him in terms of stewardship, that's why after saying such, he was speechless

how sad it was to change venues at short notice, can any relate?

Erin's place resort was supposed to be better that's why we changed venues only to find out it wasn't. aesthetically speaking, yes they look better from afar with kubos distanced from each other, they have a grotto & an infinity pool. yet such amenities isn't worth walking far just to do basic stuff like cooking, cleaning stuff, etc. their kubos aren't even cleaned before guests arrived. Basic hospitality protocols weren't even met & we had to ask them to do what was supposed to be basic for them. they weren't even hospitable & were rude after being told what they lack instead of being humble & apologetic for their shortcomings. we thought their place was even peaceful, yet we were surprised at guests cursing & violently hitting each other in broad daylight, which means food given to us before, after we had our own private concert & just a guitar was even better.

overall, i wont recommend Erin's place not only for their poor maintenance of the place but also for poor hospitality-very unbecoming in a business they have
